Black Cat Crossing

Audio Recording/Production

Harvard, MA

"I think the fact that music can come up a wire is a miracle." Ed Cherney

Black Cat Crossing is a small studio inside in a home located in the apple growing countryside of Harvard Massachusetts. Black Cat Crossing specializes in independent label projects, high end demos, and preproduction for larger projects. We invest in high quality equipment and skill, rather than physical amenities.
Roger Christie has been recording and producing audio since the mid 1970s. In the late 1970s and early 1980s, he owned (together with two other partners) a 24 track studio in Hudson Massachusetts, called Muskrat studios. He also did free lance work at Normandy Sound in Warren RI, before drifting off for a time to work in the software industry. He began to put together Black Cat Crossing in the early 1990s, and the studio has progressed steadily since that time.
Skip Fisher is the house drummer, as well as a co-producer. Skip is an exciting and explosive drummer who has toured the world with such acts as Chuck Berry, Bo Diddley, Alex Taylor (with Dan Ackroyd), James Montgomery and Matt "Guitar" Murphy. Skip is also a talented producer and arranger and is available to play on  tracks recorded at Black Cat Crossing. Many other talented studio musicians are on call.
